here we go again

I had my maiden blog the other day but then the internet gods wiped it clean for some reason and no trace of it was to be found.  So, this morning after I posted my "five things" I recreated my blog and hopefully it will stay this time.
My husband left for D.C. yesterday (he goes there a lot.) and so its just me left to fend for myself against a mob of hormonal and angst-ridden teenagers.  Somehow my husband always seems to be out of town the weekends that all of our teenagers are at our house. Hmmmmmm.   I think I need to go somewhere like, oh maybe Sedona AZ and leave him here alone for a weekend or teenage drama and crisis while I walk among the vortexes and have a spiritual experience.  Now, granted, when he goes away he IS working, but the people he is working with do not need rides to their BFF's house, nor do they tell him about how they just broke up with their boyfriend/girlfriend and they have to go to their friend's house immediately and spend the night.  Nor do his coworkers have homework projects that require him running to Walmart at 10pm to buy poster board.  Do you see where I am going with this?
But I shall prevail because I am SUPERMOM.
And at the end of the day I and the shih tzus (and probably the small gray tiny annoying cat) will climb in bed with our plethora of pillows.  I am VERY grateful for pillows and I will be grateful that I survived the day.  And I will be grateful that I have complete control of the remote and that I can watch Dogs 101 or International House Hunters if I want and nobody is going to tell me to change the channel.  And I will be grateful for the warm cuddle of Barkley who will be sleeping in his daddy's spot as he always does when his daddy is out of town.  But on some level I will be missing the snoring and the flailing and the pillow hogging of my husband who is sleeping in a proximity closer to the President than he is me.
